Atomix Cafe

Atomix is good for your local cafe! I come and get coffee and pastries. THEY'RE CLOSING PERMANENTLY AS OF 9/30/2019. Just an heads up to anyone planning to visit

Great and peaceful place in West Town - Chicago. It is my first time here. Coffee is very soft and delicious... What I don't like it at all is the price. It is kinda expensive for a medium salted caramel mocca...... Anyway, I'll come back when I have the possibility to come.

I had a latte. It was just ok. I wouldn’t go about if my way to have coffee here again. The atmosphere was cool though.

The seats scratch your thighs if you're wearing shorts and most tables are lopsided, but I suppose it's part of the quirk of it. I must have gotten there late because they did not have a lot of their menu items, but what I did get was alright, given that it's not what I wanted but was starved. I enjoyed the hibiscus tea, the music, and the lava lamps. Loved the lava lamps!

If you are looking for good coffee, and a relaxing place to enjoy it, this is a good option. It's simply decorated, baristas are very nice, and you will feel cozy enough to want to come back. Their baked goods selection is surprisingly yummy too, definitely worth checking out.

Super friendly staff. Great veggie and vegan options for food and drinks/coffee (soy, almond & coconut milk options). Never really crowded. Good spot to get some work done, wifi is reliable with plenty of outlets around.

It's quiet. The coffee is fantastic. This is a great place to chill out get work done. Also they have a bottomless cup of coffee.

My favorite place to drink coffee and get work. The granola is homemade and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing.

I like this spot. Friendly staff and good place to get some work done. My one criticism is they BLAST the music. Jazz on Volume Max. Want to come in and quietly read your book? Bring your ear plugs.

Best latte I have had in a while, no frills - just good joe.

Great space to write

My favorite coffee shop in West Town! Everyone who works here is super friendly. The drinks and food are good, surprisingly tasty lentil soup. The one time I forgot my headphones I enjoyed the music, kind of hipster light. It does fill up quickly, so if you arrive after 2pm on a Saturday or Sunday, be prepared for no free tables.

Great spot! Very fast, and friendly service! It's also a very inclusive spot with a uni-sex bathroom! I love to see that some cafes are moving forward! The cold-brew I ordered was next level! I will be returning here during my weekly trips to Chicago!

Vegan coffee shop, but not unbearably hipstery. Not too crowded, low key music, lots of light from big windows. Perfect study/work spot with delicious coffee too!

I got the Pint of Soy Shake with peanut butter and mocha. It was absolutely delicious as shown by this photo haha

They have a number of vegan options with sandwiches. The vegan chili is more like a bean soup, but still pretty hearty; the daily soups are good too. My americano was really good.

Great place to get some work done while drinking good coffee/tea. They are have some fine sandwiches as well. The staff is friendly and efficient.

Not a bad place but a little consistency would be nice. Like, they'll close early if it's a slow day, ask you to leave at 8:15 if there's only a few people in there. And I can't rate the food since they are literally never serving it when I'm there. I actually got a lecture once because I brought in outside food. I felt bad and offered to buy some, he tells me, "well actually our kitchen's closed." It was 4pm! Yeah, never once have I come in and had that kitchen be open!

Very quick counter service. The coffee was incredible. Among the best tasting drip coffee I've ever had. The American was great too. Excellent vegan doughnuts and a nice bunch of ripe bananas. It looked like the place was mostly patronized by locals with laptops when I visited on a Saturday mid-morning. It's just across the street from WHISK so it's a perfect place to sit and drink coffee while waiting for your table to be ready.

They have coffee from “tea and coffee exchange” and some really interesting art 🚀

Cool ambiance, great neighborhood board, overly priced. $10 for a "bst" a bacon, spinach, tomato, mayo sandwich on wheat bread. It was mostly spinach, 2 pieces of thin bacon on each side and barely any mayo on very dry bread.

Prices don't make sense.. They want $4.25 for a Large black coffee... I'd maybe accept that for downtown, but not here. I asked what kind of coffee it was, expecting the person to know, but they couldn't. Coffee tasted as good as the free coffee from a hotel. Sorry, but I'm turned off.

My favorite thing about this place is it's hours (open pretty late on weekdays for a coffee shop) and the vibe--it's okay to sit here for quite awhile in the evenings to study, write, or read. I think the food here is just okay and very overpriced. I'd stick to drinks for the most part.

I grew up with coffee being an important part of life. Whatever Atomix does is on a whole new level. Their soy milk is just amazing. Their coffee is jaw-dropping. Their vegi-friendly food is beyond good. I have no idea how such a gem can exist, but it does. Do yourself a favor and drop by.

Cheap and delicious cafe! It’s definitely one of those hodge podge looking cafes, but the food is super good, and all homemade. And there are lots of vegan options! I’m not sure what brand of coffee they roast, but I’ve never been disappointed.

I like just a picture of Gagarin on the wall! Cappuccino about nothing, not very clean place, and it is old and smell the same.

School cafeteria tables add to the unique appeal of this almost divey coffee shop servong great coffee and vegan treats. Sandwiches and bagels on offer too, plus free wifi.

I had a very nice chai latte after dinner at a nearby restaurant. The place is shabby.

Good coffee, the interior lacks but has so much potential with thier theme.

I love that they have vegan options for food, and love their veggie cream cheese. The only drawback is that it's really not a comfortable place in my opinion if you want to sit and get work done for a while. Just very cold and uncomfortable.
